There is stillness today.

After all the preparations for Christmas and having spent wonderful time with family and loved ones there is that sense of stillness.

Perhaps it is a necessary stillness that we all need.

Prior to the coming of the next year.

It could feel like void. But it is not that.

It could feel uneasy. Uncomfortable.

And that is understandable.

It is stillness perhaps brought about by the sudden dis-preoccupation from regular work, preparations for the holiday or the daily grind.

And it is necessary. Stillness is necessary.

It is Day 26 of the 12th month, year 2020.

Five days to go before we all go Round 1 of 2021.

So how do we do this? How do we go about this?

Perhaps we can start with —

P R A Y E R W O R D W O R S H I P

Nothing beats getting alone with the Lord Jesus in a quiet place —

seeking Him in prayer,

hearing Him in His word,

and responding to His divine revelation in worship.

Not in haste. Unhurried.

With Him alone as the preoccupation of our hearts and minds.

Loving and adoring Him with all that we have.

Heart. Soul. Strength. Mind.

May the LORD’s blessings of life and love be with you and your family.

I write. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
